Explain the purpose of the organization theme

The Organization theme defines and establish is a project’s structure of accountability and responsibilities

You can list the four levels of management, corporate and program management, directing, managing, and delivering

Know the responsibilities and characteristics of the project board

The project board is the main decision-making body on the project and contains three roles, the executive, the senior user, and the senior supplier. Their work takes place in the directing a project process

List the responsibilities and characteristics of the executive

The executive represents the business perspective on the project board. He’s the ultimate decision maker, must secure the funding for the project, and must ensure that the project provides value for money

Explain the responsibilities and characteristics of the senior user

These represent the user perspective on the project board. They must ensure that the projects products are fit for their purpose, they also provide user resources to help specify the products before they are created and then again to review them during and after they have been created

Know the responsibilities and characteristics of the senior supplier

These represent the supplier perspective on the project board. They are responsible for providing resources to the project that will create the projects products to the required level of quality

List the responsibilities and characteristics of project assurance

There are three types of project assurance – business, user, and supplier assurance, which align with the project board roles of the executive, senior users, and senior suppliers, respectively. The role monitors the project to ensure that it meets the needs of their unique perspective on the project. The role may provide guidance to the project manager and the team managers

Know the responsibilities and characteristics of the project manager

This person manages the project on a day to day basis on the half of the project board. Their work takes place across many of the PRINCE2 process is, including starting up a project, initiating a project, managing a stage boundary, controlling a stage, and closing a project

Understand the term stakeholder

Know that the terms stakeholder means any individual, group or organization that can affect, be affected by, or perceive itself to be affected by an initiative (project, programme, activity, or risk)

Know the purpose and contents of the communication management strategy

This strategy specifies how the project management team and the stakeholders of the project will communicate with each other. It also describes any analysis that has been done to determine who has a vested interest in the project and what their communication needs are.

This strategy is created by the project manager during the initiating a project process and then updated during the managing a stage boundary process. It is then referred to continually for reporting requirements of the project management team and other stakeholders.
