British Council – Public PRINCE2 Foundation and Practitioner Exams.
If you have studied privately to take either of the PRINCE2 the Foundation and Practitioner exams, then you do NOT need to pay for an PRINCE2 training course for the sole intent of taking the exams!
Many of you will feel confident in being able to pass after studying and using my PRINCE2 Primer, and frankly, do not see the need to pay out hundreds of UK pounds for a training course that includes the cost of exam taking…

Where are the British Council offices?
Luckily, there is a way for you to take your exams in most countries across the world. I’ve just counted and there are just under 100 British Council offices across the world where you can take your exam. These offer a number of qualification schemes which can be taken in British Council Offices located in many countries.
You will find that including PRINCE2, there are 11 different exam subjects that can be taken via the British Council (such as MSP and AGILE).
It’s as simple as selecting a country or a city to take the exam, make the most convenient choice for your exam date and then pay the required fee.
Your payment must be received three weeks before the selected exam date, and you can either pay online (much more convenient), or by cheque, BACS, or invoice.
Your booking will then be confirmed, and APMG-International will send you information on the exam venue plus guidance and procedures to be followed when you take your exam.
A Final Thought – PRINCE2 Practitioner Re-registration
If you have already passed the PRINCE2 Foundation Exam, then you keep that qualification for life.
But if you have taken the PRINCE2 Practitioner Exam, and are consequently a PRINCE2 Practitioner, then your qualification must be re-registered every 5 years. To do this, you set a special ‘cut-down’ version of the exam, and this can be done online. Then select the ‘PRINCE2 Re-Registration’ option from the left hand menu bar and follow the instructions on screen to pay for and take the exam.

The paper has 3 questions with 12 marks available for each question – each question will earn 1 mark which gives a maximum paper mark of 36
You must get 20 marks out of the 36 marks in order to pass; which is a 55% pass mark.
Every question has an instruction and is followed by a set of sub-questions or statements. Your answer will normally be a single selection from those options, however some sub-questions may ask for more than one answer.
