roanoke weather
Since moving to Roanoke VA I have been impressed, amazed and flabbergasted on a near daily basis at how fantastic the weather is here in Virginia... gone are my long damp dark drizzly and miserable winter days to be replaced by crisp chilly ones with blue skies and people just bubbling with Southern Hospitality (I'm not even going to mention the weather differences in summertime  ) So, just for my damp British mates out there:

I wonder what the weather will be like next week?

boo hoo. i want to be there
not today you dont
It's raining the proverbial cats and dogs today
From what I've experienced so far, Blueridge Valley Weather is simply delivered in a different fashion to the way the English weather clouds deliver the same stuff.
The weather over here is quite simply more civilized - most days are sunny and bright and if it rains then it will get overcast for an hour... dump some liquids for an hour... then get warm and sunny again.
Dont get me wrong, we've had a couple of rainy days, but even when it rains it's pleasantly warm and the rain clouds arrive, rain and then leave.
The long gray damp drizzly English rainy periods where the rain seems to start on a Monday morning and finish on a Wednesday... for an hour... before restarting... are behind me.
Huzzah!

like Dexters flat?
Dex's flat is always far too warm... thats from the greenhouse gasses slowly releasing from his collection of pizza boxes and empty takeaway containers under his sofa. ;)
