Installation of Thunderbird itself is simple. If you have used the old Thunderbird 2 then the first thing that will look different is that you now see a tabbed view of the main email windows (in the same style as Firefox). But wait, there is loads more under the hood.
After upgrading to Firefox version I had a problem with a very annoying series of error messages saying "Chrome Registration Failed"
Some of the old add-ons are also not working so I put this down to the different versions I have installed in the past (version 2 then V3 Beta followed by the first Release Candidate and now the official V3).
Basically this means that when you type into a comment box on a website you want to be able to click bolditalic and underline and actually see the words changing on the screen - as opposed to entering all the geeky <strong> <italic> and <ul> codes.
So, It's thursday lunchtime and I've just wasted an hour of my life sifting through the thousands of website comments and deleting the spam. 99.9% of it was adverts for (yes, you've guessed it) various small blue pills and lotions promising monstrous erections and the ability to proudly say "Hung like BULL"
What is it with these horrid companies generating internet spam and splashing it around the website? Ooooh... it gets my blood pressure raising - AND I DIDNT EVEN NEED A PILL TO DO IT!!!
On a customer site yesterday who had problems with a home wireless network which seemed to randomly drop the internet connect on three of his wireless PC's around the house.
General setup was COX Cable Broadband (used to be COMCAST) plugged into a Netgear Wireless Router (WGR614) and each PC using USB Wireless to connect. Various different makes; a netgear WPN111 and Zoom and a DLINK.

Many of you will have heard of Dave Litten - a Prince 2 accredited trainer and somewhat of a Project Management Guru. I spoke to Dave yesterday (from his sunny villa in Spain) and I'm very excited to announce that he's working on training video's for people studying for their Prince2 accreditation. I saw a sample video... it was fantastic!
I had a funny problem at a customer site yesterday where he had a small office setup with one of the PC's effectively running as a server (using simple folder sharing) and 4 other computers accessing it wirelessly.
Scenario:
Three of these PC's running Windows XP SP2 and two running Vista SP1. Three hardwired using ethernet and the others wirelessly.
