Had some airline pains this week
I fly a lot for business...
I like the ZONED loading system but would like to see a few tweaks. Seem pretty obvious to me but how about:
- (First to board) First class - the people that pay for the big fat lardy seats - obviously any disabled folks or people that need some help are included at this time as well
- (Then) Frequent flyers who are just going to get on, sit down and not mess about
- (Next) The rest of the passengers but they should board from the rear rows first... load from the back of the plane before the front of the plane. First on is last off. So, rather than standing around waiting for that chap in the row 11 to fart around with his jacket and getting his book out and jumping up and down and holding up everyone else that waiting to load we can get the guys to the back of the plane and everyone kind of loads at the same time.
- (Finally) your standbys and late arrivals etc.
Obviously - anyone that eats so much fast food that their body fat flows over the arm-rest into my seat space, or smells of stale beer, or farts at altitude, or plays electronic games with volume turned up, or snores, or talks loudly on the phone the moment the plane lands to tell their friends "I've landed!" or those people that clap when the plane lands… they should all have their own personal plane, and not travel on my plane..
And before anyone says it.. yes I fly a lot… and “No” my arms aren’t tired.
:)
Ps – I like Southwest Airlines planes (nice and comfy) but hate, hate, hate their loading system where everyone has to stand in a queue in little designated cattle boxes (labeled 1-5, 6-9, 10-14, etc) with everyone jostling for position and covertly looking at each other’s boarding cards to make sure the person in front hasn’t committed the cardinal sin of having a boarding zone that may be 2 feet behind ours. *sigh*
